Screening and Panel Discussion with Alan Lightman at Christian Brothers University

          Alan Lightman will be at Christian Brothers University for a special screening and panel discussion of the PBS documentary Searching: Our Quest for Meaning in the Age of Science - a 3-part series that explores the human questions raised by modern science. There will be live commentary from the series host, physicist, and author Alan Lightman and award-winning documentary filmmaker Geoffrey Haines-Stiles. After the viewing, faculty and students from the Rosa Deal School of Arts and CBU School of Sciences will engage in a panel discussion, followed by a Q&A session. 

          Burke's Book Store will be there to sell copies of Alan Lightman's new book, The Transcendent Brain:  Spirituality in the Age of Science, as well as his book Searching for Stars on an Island in Maine (the basis of the documentary Searching). He will be available to sign books that evening after the event.
