Jack Kenner will be at Burke's on Saturday, December 8th from 10:00am-Noon signing copies of his book, Dogs I've Nosed ($24.95).
Dogs I've Nosed is a compilation of portraits Kenner has snapped through the years --- from tiny Chihuahuas to huge Great Danes. Kenner, known in Memphis for his nature shots and Memphis in May work, began shooting portraits of dogs in 2004 after switching from film to digital technology. He needed a subject to practice with and started bringing dogs into his studio. It was a new career. He works full time traveling across the country to shoot portraits of family pets. He has photographed such celebrity pets as Steven Segal's Great Dane, Bukka, who is in the book and on the back cover, and Cybill Shepherd's two German shepherds.
Framed prints of his photographs will be on display during the signing.
